Our Company
As a comprehensive, private educational services company, SolutionSkills, Inc. has provided a broad range of innovative services and programs to students, parents, teachers, and schools. Beginning primarily as a tutorial service, this company has grown each year by adding new programs to help meet the diverse needs of a rapidly changing educational establishment.
Our Philosophy
We believe that individuals can learn skills to be successful and self-sufficient. We also believe that educational and related services should be geared toward helping a person reach his or her potential through a caring, personal intervention with concerned educational professionals at a reasonable cost.
Our Approach
We pride ourselves on our personal approach to our customers, students and parents. As a small business, we strive to help each person by determining the need and creating a customized solution. Whether it is to improve an SAT or ACT score or to help an individual academically or personally succeed, that is what we are about. We have a professional but flexible approach that is designed to help the individual to succeed.
In addition to our tutoring and test prep programs, SolutionSkills offers a variety of education related programs such as study skills/motivational workshops, community parent workshops and school based test prep centers.

Our rates are reasonable and our programs have proven results. Furthermore, we do not lock you into costly “contracts” like other education service providers. We take a variety of payment methods (Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover, debit cards, personal checks, cash) and extended payment plans are available. Randall S. Vickers
President & Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Randall S. Vickers is the founder and owner of SolutionSkills, Inc. Mr. Vickers is a product of the Miami-Dade school system and received his bachelor’s and master’s degree from Florida State University. He was the director of guidance at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida from 1977-1985. He was an administrator at the Honors & Scholars program at Florida State University from 1985-1988. After starting SolutionSkills in 1987 with two other educators, Mr. Vickers began working full-time there in 1989.
He is a licensed mental health counselor and served as president of the Mental Health Association of Leon County in the 1980s. He has served as a board member of the Leon County Schools Foundation, the FSU College of Education Alumni Board, the School Advisory Committees with Leon County Schools.
He has conducted workshops outside the education establishment, including numerous agencies and departments with the state of Florida. Other training contracts and/or presentations have been with the Diabetes Center at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Center, the Florida Department of Education/School Improvement Section, and the American Counselors Association.
