Designed to teach essential study skills for success in school. A small group setting makes the experience interesting, fun and useful. Enrollment is limited to eight students per session. All materials are included within the cost of the program. Topics covered include managing time, getting organized, reading textbooks, notetaking skills, test taking and anxiety reduction strategies, and writing effective papers. Students will also review memorization techniques and reflect on their particular learning styles and those of their teachers. Finally motivation issues such as the importance of a positive attitude, stress management, and self reinforcement are emphasized throughout the workshop. |
